In this role, you will:
As a Loan Operations Analyst we’ll rely on you to ensure the seamless delivery of our lending products with speed and accuracy. You’ll be responsible for packaging loan applications for the credit underwriting team, making sure we have all the information required to progress the application and make a lending decision.
You will play an important role in ensuring we meet our compliance and regulatory requirements, as part of our first line of defence. Being a key member of our Lending team, you’ll work alongside our Credit, Relationship Managers (RM), Introducers and Customer Due Diligence Teams.
Key areas of responsibility:
- Ensure that the case meets lending requirements by carrying out a credit assessment in line with the Banks’ lending policy and appetite and within the agreed team SLAs.
- Fully verify each case in ‘Application’ stage against our checklist to ensure minimum standards of accuracy and completion are met.
- Produce a Credit Paper to include the risk and mitigants of the Loan.
- Produce an exhaustive list of additional requirements for the client or intermediary which will facilitate the application being progressed to underwriting.
- Liaising with both introducing parties and direct clients to process loan applications, building rapport and delivering excellent service throughout
- Quality reviewing all documentation collated to ensure suitability for submission, in line with lending policy e.g. credit reports, valuation reports and Land Registry.
- Obtaining quotes from third parties including but not limited to valuers, solicitors, and quantity surveyors.
- Communicate with Relationship Managers, Credit Partners, customers and intermediaries and related third parties to proactively gather information required for credit submission.
- Onboarding new Intermediaries ensuring within agreed SLAs ensuring they meet the required quality standards of the bank to introduce new business.
- Establish and nurture positive relationships to become a trusted member of the team.
- Proactively support Relationship Managers in delivering desired customer outcomes.
- Ensure management information, data and loan management systems are accurate and up to date.
- Diligently maintain and organise your own case load list and daily workflow, requesting support where required.
- Proactively manage your own cases, engaging with each stakeholder to move the cases forward to the next stage, within our agreed SLAs and the customers expected timeline.
- Assist with special projects that may be appointed
A bit about you – You are/have:
- Strong understanding of the commercial lending lifecycle and credit memo preparation.
- Knowledge of legal, valuation, and risk due diligence processes.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal, written, and numeric communication abilities.
- Ability to multitask, work independently, and exercise sound judgment.
- Familiarity with credit reports, KYC, AML, and fraud prevention systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and loan management systems.
